It is time to part ways with my hair.

Despite the complaints of my wife, mother & grandmother, my last shearing was before my wedding in September of 2011. I am ready to make the women in my life happier with a return to a short hairstyle and a child happy with the gift of hair.

I will be donating my locks to a foundation called Wigs for Kids ( ). They provide Hair Replacement Systems and support for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, burns and other medical issues. Each hair prosthesis is hand crafted to match the child’s natural hair. It costs approximately $1800 to construct one of these prosthesis, but Wigs For Kids provides them to children at no cost.

My goal is to raise $1800 by August 1st to sponsor a child.

Donations can be made online at or in person with cash or check (made out to Wigs For Kids).

If you wish, you can provide a note to a child which I will include in your donation.

I appreciate your time and consideration.
