I came across this today while wandering aimlessly through the inter webs.

Has anybody done one of these before? My buddy and I are planning to do one this year here in Seattle, and I might make the trip to Portland to do one as well. Seeing if anyone has any insight maybe

Whenever I see these I am reminded of a dude ranch for some reason. Not all bad there, but that is what I get. If you've never done that kind of thing it would probably be fun, and at least would be healthy. I would worry about a wannabe crowd though.
I was most inspired by the 5Pack 5K challenge. Requires no additional equipment other than a six pack of beer. The idea is to drink a beer before a 5k and one each kilometer into the run. If I still drank beer I'd be hammering these out 2-3 per weekend day!

Guess I should check this forum more often and it may be too late but did one, or at least started one. Made it 2 hours. Mine was in Philadelphia in March. Spent an hour in the Schuylkill River at 38 degrees. Did calisthenics on the Art Museum steps for another hour then had a wardrobe issue and had to drop. (shorts couldn't stay up anymore)
I have run marathons and have completed a load of mud runs including Tough Mudder. This was nothing like them. I thought I would learn some team building skills, learn survival techniques but really just got yelled at, froze, and injured myself for a 100 plus dollars.
If you want to try it, I would recommend the Goruck light. If you like it, then step up.
