I really really like the idea of snuffing with a bullet (clean, no mess, discreet for using in public). Unfortunately, I've not had much luck so far.

I've tried mistersnuff's acrylic bullet ( https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/acrylic-bullet-cle... ) and metal bullet ( https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/metal-bullet-green... ).

The metal bullet looks and feels nice. It is very small - it fits nicely in any pocket. It is very small - it doesn't hold very much. Functionally, I don't like the shape of the tip, as it doesn't seal against my nose at all....so I usually end up sniffing too hard just to get *anything* to come out of it, and end up overshooting. I have taken to just using this one to tap a dose onto the back of my hand, rather than using it as an actual bullet.

The acrylic one works better as a functional bullet....once I got it to work, that is. The knob was so tight that it wouldn't turn when I first got it, and I had to work on it a bit to get it functional. Once I got it working, I liked it a lot. Larger, so it holds plenty for a couple of days for me. But after two months of use, it cracked and fell apart. Not a big deal - it was only $4, and I carried it in my pocket at work almost daily, so it was bound to break eventually.

Has anyone tried the glass bottomed one https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/glass-bullets-c-22... or the plastic bottomed one https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/acrylic-plastic-gr... ? They look to be shaped slightly differently.

I'm also considering the Posh https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/posh-bullets-c-22_... $19 seems a bit pricey, but it would be worth it if it really does work better and last longer than the cheapies. Has anyone here tried one?

I've got a couple of the glass bottomed ones. They work OK for the finer snuffs but find not as well for the courser S&Gs. I'm still struggling with getting a good dose loaded and often overshoot, plus the levers on mine seem to want to work their way out. Thanks for the input on the metal ones. Those look nice but if they don't seal that would be a negative.

I just got these, but I really like them so far!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Snuff-Bullet-Nose...

If the link expires, just search eBay for the seller's name - roxndave.

It works like and is about the same size as the acrylic one from mrsnuff. It's made from machined aluminum, and it just oozes quality. It's listed as $12.99 with free shipping, but he has the "make offer" option - I offered $16 for two of them, he countered with $20 for two of them (still with free shipping), and I took it. The end cap is knurled (easy to grip), and it feels like it seals up really tight. The tip is sized great, and seals against my nostril well when using. The dial (also knurled) to set the dose is recessed - a plus in that the bullet slides down in a pocket nicely and won't snag (I assume this is by design), but it would be easier to use if the dial was raised just a hair off the surface - but this is really a very minor quibble. I've only had them a couple of days, but I am 100% satisfied so far.

I'll report back after I've used them some more.

I found you gotta be careful with those. you can put a nostril out if you put something too fine in one of those. Kinda like that Uma Thurman overdose scene from Pulp Fiction.

Clifford,
I just test drove one of the glass bullets from Mr. Snuff. I'm pretty pleased but the charging lever is kind of stiff at the moment. Perhaps it will loosen up with some use Smile Monty is right, I'm new but Original and Genuine should be approached with a cautious and gentle sniff or it's like slathering your brain with Vicks vapor rub! Faint

On a side note, how does one clean the remnants of the previous snuff out of these little buggers?

I just rinse them out with water, Christopher. Just make sure it's completely dry before refilling it.

I'm still loving those eBay aluminum ones. They are very well built, should last forever, and work wonderfully.

Thanks Clifford. I'll probably grab a few of the aluminum ones when I get paid tomorrow.

Edit: And they are no longer available. Maybe the seller is whipping up a new batch. Smile

Let me know if you see them pop back up because that sounds like what I am looking for too. My acrylic one is ok, but a nicer one that I wouldn't worry about breaking would be nice.

I went and pulled the trigger on one of these. I'll report back as soon as I get ahold of it Smile

Still loving my eBay bullets. I just checked, and they are still unavailable. Too bad, I wouldn't mind having a couple more. I like carrying a few different snuffs with me to work.

Looking forward to your report on the Posh, Christopher. I'm not too far from an order and I might snag one if you like it.

It is unfortunate that the roxndave eBay bullets are no longer available. I've tried out a few more, and they are still my favorite by far.

The mistersnuff acrylic https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/acrylic-bullet-bla... works great. It's cheap enough that it can almost be considered disposable. Which is good, as it isn't very durable at all. My first one lasted maybe a couple of months...hopefully this one will last a bit longer.

https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/metal-bullet-green... This small metal one, IMO, sucks. The capacity is quite small, and the flat top and small diameter means it doesn't seal against the nostril. I still keep it around, but I can only use it as a tapbox.

https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/metal-rounded-bull... These are a bit nicer. They are a similar design to my eBay ones, but a cheaper design. The eBay ones are obviously machined, these I assume are pressed or cast or something (I'm not an expert on such things....suffice it to say, they are both aluminum but the eBay one is obviously a much higher quality), and the walls are thinner. Nonetheless, it works like a champ and I recommend it. The only drawback is it seems to me to have a wide open draw and a large-ish dose, so I have to kinda watch myself with it.

I also bought a Posh, just like Chris's pictured above, except mine is blue. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan. It seems to me to deliver a very small dose compared to all the other bullets I've tried (though it seems to do better with fine dry snuff. maybe I'll try Dholokia White next!). It's a bit bulky, and the capacity doesn't seem particularly large to me. The tip is too pointy for my tastes. Refilling it is a royal pain in the neck, requiring a screwdriver and a lot of finesse to get the snuff down in there where it's supposed to go without making a mess. The action and mechanism is kinda neat, but that doesn't make up for its shortcomings. I probably would shrug it off if it were cheaper, but I'm quite disappointed at this price point. I haven't used it all that much yet...maybe I'll like it a bit better with more experience with it.

Great reviews guys. I wish I woulda saw this thread before buying the ones I have but I'm more or less satisfied with my 2 current bullets. Truth be told, the 1g Toque Espresso bullet (my first) seems to work better than the acrylic bullet I bought. Go figure.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up. I found the aluminum bullets that I bought on eBay. http://www.mendomulchers.com/product23.asp

Yes, the site appears kinda chintzy. Yes, their premier product is an "herb grinder." But this is without a doubt the same machined snuff bullet. I even distinctly remember that the ebay seller's other auctions were for these herb grinders. Also, his ebay handle was "roxndave," and the bottom of this website says "Dave and Roxanne West," so I believe it's the same guy. I can't personally vouch for buying through the site (as I bought them on eBay...which I personally would consider safer than buying from an unknown website like this), but I can vouch for the product itself - still the best snuff bullet I've tried.
