This is a review of the Man O' War Puro Authentico sent to me by Paul Patel.

Corona (5" x 42)

Wrapper: Habano or Maduro, Ligero
Origin: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaraguan

This is a description from Cigar.com

"One of the most unique blends we carry, Puro Authenticos are full-bodied, premium sticks made by AJ Fernandez's very best torcedores. These are AJ's personal, everyday cigars. And now they're available in maduro.

The story behind Man O' War Puro Authentico is rather unique. We've visited AJ's factory many times and every time we've seen AJ smoking a corona-sized Habano-wrapped cigar with a shaggy foot. He's never told us the blend or what it was for. After constant questioning (he made the mistake of letting us try a few) he finally broke down and admitted he has his own special cigar made in a 5"x42 corona as his everyday personal smoke. Eventually, we convinced him to let us offer these to the Cigar.com faithful and thus, Man O' War Puro Authentico was born.

These spicy firecrackers are the same cigars AJ enjoys on a day to day basis and come unfinished with a shaggy foot. They contain a special blend of rich Nicaraguan long leaves that's topped with either an Esteli Habano or maduro wrapper. Easily full-bodied, Puro Authentico are truly superb. Pick up a box of 10 today and experience the same exact cigar AJ created as his everyday "go-to" blend."

Cigar does have a closed foot..........or shaggy as they call it.

I'm not entirely sure if this is the maduro wrapper or the habano. (guessing habano)

Cut this one with a punch, draw was about right.

Lots and lots of smoke upon lighting this one.

First initial taste was pepper and cedar.

The wood flavor went away and I was getting a good espresso flavor with a leather flavor in the background.

The flavor basically stayed the same up to the last 3rd of the cigar.

I did have a few issues getting this one to burn well for me but that could of been my fault.

During the last 3rd, the slightly sweet flavor of espresso faded away and I was getting an earthy/tobacco flavor.

Not a bad little cigar for the price really.

I know I have some I bought a while back, I think I gave $2 for them.

The strength is listed at full which I would probably agree with.

I would smoke this one again.
